Borusan Contemporary's new talk series "Sensing the Future" is organized in parallel with the exhibitions of the 2023-2024 season. The series is devised to discuss the conceptual framework of the temporary exhibition Mat Collishaw: Arrhythmia and the collection exhibition Hyper Digital Forces from the perspectives of scientists, academics, and experts from different disciplines. The talk series also includes a performative event designed for children.
As part of "Sensing the Future", two panels will examine Mat Collishaw's recent works in Arrhythmia through a multidisciplinary approach, as well as an artist talk will take place. A discussion on Hyper Digital Forces, which presents a selection from the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection, and a performative conversation event designed for children aged 8-10 are also featured in the series. Starting on April 27th, the “Sensing the Future” talk series will take place at the Perili Köşk.
The talks focusing on the Arrhythmia exhibition take their starting point from marine ecosystems and aim to create an intellectual flow of interrelations by exploring the cultural, scientific, technological, and theoretical associations revealed by Mat Collishaw's works. The talk on the collection exhibition of the 2023-2024 season Hyper Digital Forces, will bring forward issues like offering the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection to new interpretations and the prospective dialogues with the collection artists. The conversation event, designed for children between the ages of 8-10, utilizes creative drama techniques. In the context of this talk, participants will have a conversation about marine biodiversity.
